1. Company block, title and stub number
It opens the Accent Panel. The Accent Panel names the business here: company name, address, and the EIN and phone if you give them. A logo, when you upload one, sits in this block.

A balanced two-column pay stub: information cards at the top, boxed tables in the middle and two summary panels at the bottom, tied together by one accent color.

The company block sits at the top left, with an “Earnings Statement” label and the stub number on the right. Two light cards follow, each with a colored edge on its left side: Employee (name, masked SSN, address, employee ID) and Pay details (pay date, pay frequency, pay period, filing status, how it was paid).
Earnings and Taxes & Deductions sit side by side in outlined boxes, each with a colored rule under its column headings and its total at the bottom, so gross taxable pay and total deductions line up. The foot of the page has two panels: Year to date (gross, deductions, net pay) and This period (gross, deductions, reimbursement), which ends in a filled net pay bar.

Best for
People who like a tidy, symmetrical page, and anyone who compares the year to date with the current period, since the two panels sit next to each other. It reads just as well for a salaried stub with a few lines as for an hourly stub with overtime.
Overview
The Accent Panel Pay Stub Template is a side-by-side ledgers layout: two ledgers or panels next to each other, or a main column with a sidebar. Two accent-edged info cards, boxed earnings and deductions, then year-to-date and this-period panels.
From top to bottom it runs company block, title and stub number, employee card, pay details card and earnings box with rate, hours, current and YTD, and then the rest of the stub. You fill it in once in the builder, the taxes and totals are worked out for you, and the finished pay stub downloads as a PDF.

It opens the Accent Panel. The Accent Panel names the business here: company name, address, and the EIN and phone if you give them. A logo, when you upload one, sits in this block.
The second block on the Accent Panel. The person paid: name, address, employee ID and the masked SSN (only the last four digits print). Check the spelling here against an ID before you download.
The third block on the Accent Panel. Period start and end, pay date and frequency. On the Accent Panel these read as the stub’s facts, so a reader can match it to a bank deposit before reading the figures.
The fourth block on the Accent Panel. Each kind of pay on its own line: regular hours, overtime, bonus, commission or tips, with rate and hours where they apply. Rate × hours should equal each current amount, and the lines add up to gross pay.
The fifth block on the Accent Panel. Taxes and deductions. The Accent Panel lists federal income tax, Social Security and Medicare, any state or local tax, and the deductions you add by name. Their total is what separates gross pay from net pay.
The sixth block on the Accent Panel. Year-to-date figures: the running totals for the calendar year, including this stub. They should grow by exactly this period’s amounts from one stub to the next.
It closes the Accent Panel. The take-home figure. The Accent Panel gives net pay its own block so it is the first number a reader finds; it equals gross minus deductions, plus any reimbursement.

The tax lines are estimated from the pay, frequency, filing status and state you enter, and you can change any of them. How paycheck taxes are calculated explains each one, and the pay stub glossary defines every abbreviation on the stub.
Colours
The Accent Panel comes in Poppy red, Ember red, Harbor blue, Emerald, Berry, Lagoon, Amber and Black & white, with Poppy red as its standard colour. The colour you choose recolours the accents (the bands, ledger rules and total bars); the figures and layout stay the same, and every colour is included in the price.
Document type
The Accent Panel is laid out as a pay stub: the short, practical record that comes with a paycheck or direct deposit. Payroll systems also call the same record an earnings statement or pay slip; the contents do not change with the name: who was paid, for which period, gross pay, each tax and deduction, net pay and the year to date.
Best use
The Accent Panel puts two panels next to each other, so current and year-to-date or earnings and deductions can be compared without scrolling.
The Accent Panel prints the full set of withholding lines (federal, Social Security, Medicare, state) for a W-2 employee’s stub.
The Accent Panel prints year-to-date figures in “Earnings box with rate, hours, current and YTD”, so a run of consecutive stubs shows the year building up period by period.
Compare
The Accent Panel belongs to the Side-by-side ledgers family, with Split Ledger, Side Rail and Center Bands. They share the same overall order; what sets the Accent Panel apart is two accent-edged info cards, boxed earnings and deductions, then year-to-date and this-period panels.
Compare them: Split Ledger · Side Rail · Center Bands
Print and PDF
With two columns sharing each row, the page is short; on a phone the PDF is best read in landscape or zoomed to one column at a time. The PDF is made from the same layout you see in the preview, so what you check is what you get.
Need several periods? The multi-stub builder makes consecutive stubs in this layout with year-to-date totals carried forward, and the sample pay stub walks through every line with real figures.

How it works
Open the builder with the Accent Panel already selected (the “Use This Template” button does this).
Enter the company and the person paid; the business prints in the “Company block, title and stub number” block.
Add the pay period, pay date and each kind of pay; the lines fill “Earnings box with rate, hours, current and YTD”.
Check the estimated taxes and add your own deductions (they print in “Taxes & Deductions box”); every amount can be edited.
Pick a colour (Poppy red, Ember red and Harbor blue or another), preview the whole stub, then download the PDF.
