A worked example: 40 regular hours at $25.00 plus 5 overtime hours at $37.50 gives $1,187.50 gross. Social Security takes $73.63, Medicare $17.22, federal withholding roughly $90 for a single filer — so the check reads about $1,006 before state tax. The builder prints each of those lines.

Is a check stub the same as a pay stub?
Yes. A check stub, paycheck stub, and pay stub are the same itemised earnings statement. People say "check stub" when the pay arrived by paper check or when the stub carries a check number. Can I put a check number on the stub?

How is overtime calculated on the check stub?
Overtime hours are multiplied by 1.5 times the regular rate by default, printed on their own line, and added into gross before withholding. You can change the overtime rate if your employer pays differently.

Can I make check stubs for my employees?

Does PayStubGo verify the check or the income?
